What caught my attention today was the phrase 'ecologically responsible'...

What a coincidence!

These days I happen to be exploring 'Socially Responsible' leadership/management that appears to stem directly from an organization's outlook towards success (in general)!

Best regards...

Comment on Do Not Look At the Scoreboard

those are pearls...pearls of wisdom:)
Time and again John Wooden words have been experienced by a number of us enabling us to excel transcending boundaries.I could not agree more with these fine words- measure of success redefined in an ecologically responsible manner.

Kind regards,
Sharad

Comment on Planning Horizons: Leveraging the Principle of Abstraction
Great stuff! Liked the concept of 'zooming-in' and 'zooming-out'!
Comment on Planning Horizons: Leveraging the Principle of Abstraction
Sanjay, the 'planning horizon' is the look-ahead level that signifies how far ahead we plan. Living the 'present' is imperative but time spent on planning is never wasted. If you want to go nowhere, any road will take you there...
Comment on Planning Horizons: Leveraging the Principle of Abstraction
Chief, often it is too dim out there at the horizon and clarity (if any) is nothing more than hypothetical 'position' of well-&-successful being measured predominantly financially only. I have noticed that sometimes we are so focused on long-term objective that we miss the invaluable gift of living the 'present'.
Comment on Planning Horizons: Leveraging the Principle of Abstraction
Excellent article. I would like to add that aligning governing values (beliefs) with that of ones daily task will see to it that self actualization at work takes place resulting in high productivity. This is due to our long and intermediate goals (the rules ) having been clearly defined.
Comment on Make a Commitment to the Whole World!

In managing people it was " Tell them what to do, show them how to do and then let them do it while you watch"

However this blog gave me self management idea, "Tell them (people) what you want to do and the people hold you to what you want to do and Sure! in this way one manages a self resolve."
